It is with great sadness Derek's family wish to advise of his passing on Thursday, 2nd May 2024 at Rowena Jackson Retirement Home, aged 86 years. Much loved husband of the late Thelma Frances Angus, nee Hazley. Cherished and loving father and father-in-law of Debbie and the late Bruce Reinke, Robyn and Ross Wilson, Hamish Angus and Sinead Mulhern.  "The best grandad in the world" to Aleisha Reinke, Andrew and Liam Wilson, and Isla, and Shae Angus. A dearly loved brother, brother-in-law, and uncle.  The family would like to gratefully acknowledge the generous support of Dawn Acker and the wonderful staff at Rowena Jackson Retirement Home for their care and attention initially in the Edinburgh wing and latterly the Salsbury Wing. A service to celebrate Derek's life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street on Wednesday 8th May at 02.00 pm.  Followed by refreshments and a time for sharing.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Southland Charity Hospital Trust would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
