SCOTT, Thomas “John”:

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John, aged 73, on Wednesday 12 November 2025.  John passed away peacefully at Southland Hospital surrounded by his loved ones.  John will be deeply missed by his wife Glenice, and his fur babies Bella and Bindi. Loved brother and brother-in-law David and Rosemary Scott, Robyn and Ray Hazlett, Robin and Lesley Todd, Steven and Lindsay Todd, and all his nieces and nephews and fondly remembered by his extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held at the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill, on Monday 17 November at 11am, followed by interment at East Winton Cemetery at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hearing Southland in John’s memory and may be left at the service.  The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the team on the Medical Ward at Southland Hospital for their compassionate care and support to John.
