Peacefully after a hard-fought battle on Friday, 9th of October 2026 in the care of Southland Hospital. Dearly loved husband and friend of Rosemary. Loved father, father-in-law, and grandfather (Daveo) of Rodger, Kirstin, Madi, Keely, and Marcus; Tony, Nicky, Emily, and Jemma; Geoff, Kris, Jamie, and Sophia. Son of Gordon and Emily Gray.

A service to celebrate Daveo’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, on Tuesday, the 13th of October at 2.00pm. The service will conclude with the interment at the Eastern Cemetery.
