Peacefully with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, 21st January 2026, aged 88 years.  Dearly loved wife of the late Denny Hoffman and Frank Knowler.  Loved mother and mother-in-law of Francis, Suzanne and John, Kevin and Margaret, Rosemary and Shane, Helen and Michael, Paul, Martin and Jude, Phillip and Suzanne, Jacinta and Paul, and Raymond*.  Adored Grandma of Michael, Stacey, Elisha, Allison, Andrea, Sarah, Rachel, Joanna, Bernice, Stephanie, Logan, Emma, Priscilla, Tresha, Shakira and a loved Great Grandma of Lilli, Briley, Blake, Harrison, Connor, Carly, Faith, Sam, Megan, Theo, Annabelle, Ella, Charles, Arthur, Edward, and Kyden.  A Requiem Mass to celebrate the life of Doreen, will be held in the St Thérèse of Lisieux Catholic Church, 40 Perth Street, Windsor, Invercargill on Saturday, 24th January at 10:00 am.  The Rosary will be recited today, Friday 23 January at 7:30 pm.  If you wish to view the service via livestream, please go to the Avenal Park website, obituaries page and click the link on Doreen’s page.  Messages to 137 Oteramika Road, Seaward Bush, Invercargill 9871.
