On Wednesday, 22 July 2026 in the care of Hospice South.

Beloved husband of his Dear wee Rhonda.  Much loved son of Roger Scheele and Jill Howie and Alison and Rog Howie.  Loved brother of Amadee and Darryn Faulkner and stepbrother of Amanda, and Craig*.  Admired son-in-law of Sandra and George Bragg and brother-in-law of Alister and Ellen-Maree.  A service to celebrate Matthew’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, on Monday, 27th July at 2:00pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice South would be appreciated and may be left at the service.  If you wish to view the service via livestream, please go to the Avenal Park website, obituaries page and click the link on Matthew’s page.
