RUSSELL, Ivan:

7 May 1960 – 26 February 2024

With great sadness in our hearts, we advise that Ivan passed away after a second battle with brain cancer, an illness he bore with dignity and strength.  Much loved husband, father, and father-in law of Anne Marie, Laura and Keir, Marc and Haylee and special Grandad of Emelia, Flynn, George, and Cece.  Loved son of Maureen and Bill Russell and brother and brother-in-law to Michele and Warren, Doug and Cindy, Gary and Cecelia and brother-in-law to Alan and Marian.  A loved uncle of his nieces and nephews.  His happy smile, sense of humour and compassionate heart will be dearly missed by us all.  He touched the lives of many with kindness, warmth, and an infectious spirit.  A big thank you to the staff at Ascot Bupa for your care of Ivan.  A service to celebrate Ivan’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street on Friday, 1st March at 10:00am.  Messages to 41B George Street, Windsor, Invercargill 9810
