DAVIS, Ivan Robert:

Known lovingly as Lofty.  It is with great sadness we announce Lofty’s Sunrise 15 June 1937 – Sunset 21 July 2025, after a courageous battle at home surrounded with love.  Beloved son of the late Isla Elma and Charles Arthur Davis.  Dearly loved husband of the late Mary Yvonne Davis.  Cherished father of Graham Davis, Boyd and Lyndal Davis, and Kaylene Davis and Ashley Rore.  Adored grandfather of Rikki and Michelle, Logan, Braden and Toni. Precious great grandfather of Jayden, Isabella, and Khobe.  Proud brother of Sylvia*, Judith* and Peter Jardine, Lex and Mary* Davis, Kenneth* and Kath, and Gary and Katie.  A treasured uncle, cousin and friend to many.  Lofty will be resting at the Avenal Park Funeral Home until his farewell. Lofty’s loved ones are welcome to pay their respects by appointment prior to Thursday by phoning Avenal Park. An informal gathering will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill, on Thursday 24 July at 2:00pm, followed by a private cremation as per Lofty’s wishes.  Special thanks to Hospice Southland, Access Carers Support, Kaylene, Ash, and Rikki for the special care you provided with Lofty.
